Former Physician Accused of Sexual Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities have announced that a former physician stands accused of committing assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
The Grave Charges
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault â some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 â between 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor stated, âOur prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the public interest.â
Scope of the Police Inquiry
The charges come after what police called a âcomplex investigationâ into alleged assaults at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences comprise:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
