Dean Henderson Was rarely tested required before the break before called into action from Arbër Hoxha’s bent shot. His sliding challenge against an Albanian attacker demonstrated excellent anticipation. 6/10

The tall defender A nuisance on corners and free-kicks, per usual, perhaps is another option for his teammate at the back rather than alongside him. A careless ball after the break nearly resulted in the first goal from Albania. Six

The young full-back One more confident showing from the 20-year-old after his first cap against another side. A teammate was unable to take the most of an exquisite flick behind the opposing backline. The left-back spot looks secure at this stage. 7/10

The newcomer His first start for his country. Slightly sloppy when playing out though his whipped corners posed a danger. A useful game manager for the manager to call upon against sides that sit back. Booked after a reckless tackle. 6

The midfielder Set-pieces from corners and free-kicks created chances. Enjoyed license to roam in left midfield yet found himself offside as the pass came in front of goal. Granted a deserved break after an hour. 6

The star midfielder Functioned in a forward spot down the right while also contributed with the hard yards. Demonstrated glimpses of brilliance and mishit a shot over. Withdrawn late on by a teammate, his competition, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Had England’s top opening of the first half, his strike well saved by Thomas Strakosha. With a teammate hanging back, it fell to him to offer an outlet on the right although his balls from the touchline varied in quality. Substituted with 15 to go. 6/10

The captain The decisive figure scoring seventy-seventh and seventy-eighth strikes for his country. His first a trademark poacher’s finish and his next a classy header having drifted away from his marker. Aged 32, he’s only getting better and the side stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament with him up top. Eight

Eberechi Eze Struggled to get into the game out wide. Was presented with a decent opportunity following a pass from a teammate yet Strakosha denied him. Rashford made much more of an impact in his place. 5/10
