Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland prior to the international hiatus, however will the Premier League frontrunners recover against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated football specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
The analyst is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, readers and a variety of special visitors.
In the twelfth round, he takes on singer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.
The singer's latest album, Knees Up, is available on Friday.
Football and Family Experiences
Olly is a skilled footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a player.
"{I recently played in a charity game the other night for a friend of mine," he explained. "My side was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.
"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.
"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told my wife that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be managing their weekend football team," he said.
"I watched my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our team for two or three years and had great fun with it. That could be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"
Top Division Predictions
Saturday, 22 November
- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is now more potent with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.
I still think this fixture will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are disciplined and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and Arsenal.
This smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to go with the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.
Sutton's forecast: 1-2
Olly's pick: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Cherries have lost their previous couple matches - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.
West Ham's only away win this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still Forest manager.
Therefore, what on earth do I go with here - will it be West Ham continuing their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?
I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
The guest's outlook: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under Nuno. 2-2
The algorithm's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four matches.
A family member told me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.
The forward will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.
They have not had great success on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will try to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's team carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
The singer's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many goals but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1
AI's outcome: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
They have have lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless seems like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.
As for the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.
The away side's performance in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was superb. We have not witnessed any other team disrupt the North London side like that this term, and they were fully competitive for them.
The logical choice would be to support the visitors here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.
But I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the sole side they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
Sutton's prediction: 1-0
The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that Fulham are on a poor streak... but they have still been respectable at home this season. 2-0
AI's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
This is a hard fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but could they be among the sides who profit from the {international break|
